UD Naked Heat Review + Swatches

You’ve all probably seen this a hundred times already; but I know some of my followers wanted me to do a full review on this palette – you ask, I shall deliver! I haven’t been drawn to the other Naked palettes like I have with this one – I’m a sucker for red, warm tones. You could definitely get away with wearing this palette for either summer or fall – making is pretty versatile all around!

This palette launches for pre-order June 12th on the brand’s website & will officially be availabe June 30th. Other retailers such as sephora.com & ulta.com will be getting it July 10th online & July 13th in stores. I purchased during the pre-order on urbandecay.ca for $66CAD.

Packaging

Let’s start with the thing you’ll notice first – the packaging. It’s beautiful, from the cardboard outside to the sturdy plastic of the palette itself. The inner cardbox sleeve is gorgeous, the inside resembles a matchbox with matches all lined up. The backside part of the sleeve has roses on fire – I think it’s absolutely beautiful!

The packaging of the palette itself is really unique; nothing like I have in my collection. It’s made from a sturdy plastic & comes with a large high quality mirror as well. The lid of the palette has a 3D feel; where the text is slightly raised. This palette comes with 12 shadows ranging from highly pigmented mattes & shimmers. This palette (like all their others) also comes with a dual ended brush which is also high quality & doesn’t shed.

The Shadows + Swatches

As a lot of you may already know but I’m a huge sucker for red/warm tones on blue/green eyes. They compliment those eye colors so well & make them pop. I feel like I’m going to get a lot of use out of this palette because it’s my ideal palette for every day looks. The formula is amazing – super buttery & easy to blend. There is some fallout & kickback but that’s not really a deal breaker for me. I would just suggest maybe doing your eyes first or at least “baking” under your eyes to prevent fallout from ruining your face makeup.

06

I had no issues when it came to blending – they were all highly pigmented, opaque & weren’t patchy on the eyes. I use concealer as a primer every time I do my makeup & the way these performed were no different than other palettes I have. I will say if you spray your brush with setting spray before using the shimmers, they will pop a lot more than without wetting your brush – other than that, if you’re a lover of red/warm tones like I am – I highly suggest grabbing this palette!
